Biodiversity walk – and rolling down some hills.
Neil the bird watcher taught us how to use the binoculars and then we headed out to see what we could spot on the banks of the River Severn. Some of us tried to spot buzzards and water birds from the hide.
This morning we walked over to Oldbury Farm to feed the cows. We also met and fed the horses. We investigated cow pat and did some sketching.
We helped to herd the sheep, had a lovely lunch followed by craft activities in The Mill Room and enjoyed our free time.
At tea time we ate the delicious cakes we made ….
We watered the garden and tasted chard lettuce and beans ….
The children have had a very busy day in the farm. They fed the animals …
Our year 6 pupils are having a great time at Wick Court and cannot wait to sample some of the amazing experiences life on a farm has to offer.
