We are excited to announce that a large delivery of books from the book project arrived this week. You may have already seen the big green shed they will be kept in around school! Children will soon be able to choose books from the shed to take home, or to read during their break times….
This term, we have started drumming lessons. We found out that African hand drums are played to communicate, celebrate, mourn and inspire. We are rehearsing some drum beat patterns ready for International Week.
To celebrate the Queen’s life and legacy, children at Friars wrote some heartfelt messages in our own remembrance book.
Today we celebrated the end of our health and wellbeing week with a fun packed day.
We all had a great time at our Sports Day at GMH park. Thank you to all the parents who came along to support us.
We are very excited that it is sports day today. The whole school will be taking part. We hope you can join us. Don’t forget your packed lunch.
After an early start and a bit of last minute work on the farm we are on our way home. We have had an amazing time but we are looking forward to seeing our families. We are very tired and maybe a bit smelly.
This afternoon we trained the sheep (which required lots of team work), cleaned out the duck house, groomed the horses and ended the afternoon with some story telling under the old oak tree.
We have had another busy day on the farm The day started with pancakes for breakfast then we have weighed the food and fed the pigs, watered the ducks, harvested the berries, peas and beans (we tasted a few), scooped the poop, prepared the blackcurrants to make jam and weighed the pigs. We had to…
