Reception – Phonics
Learning Objective:
I can segment words to help me write.
Success criteria:
- Say the word you want to write
- Put the sounds on your fingers
- Write the sounds
- Blend the sounds to check
Year 2 – History (Great Fire of London)
Learning objective:
Know about some important events that happened in Britain in the past.
Success criteria:
- Explain how the fire of London started
- Explain how the fire spread
- Explain how people reacted to the fire
- Explain how we know about the fire
Year 3 – Computing (Coding)
Learning Objective:
Learn how to make things happen in a sequence
Success criteria:
- understand that we are going to make a spaceship race using espresso coding
- create a countdown by dragging “number” code icons and “hide” icons into a function box
- give each countdown number a time after which it hides
- create a winning spaceship by dragging a “spaceship” code icon and a “move forward” icon into a function box
- give the winning spaceship a time after which it moves
- create two losing spaceships by dragging “spaceship” code icons and “move forward” icons into a function box
- give the losing spaceships a time after which they move
- click on Run code and enjoy the race!
Year 4 – Maths (Addition)
Learning Objective:
Use expanded decomposition to add 4 digit numbers.
Success criteria:
- Read the question carefully
- Put the numbers in the correct column (Th, H, T, U)
- Expand numbers and partition
- Add the units, tens, hundreds and then thousands
- Carry the ten over if needed
- Add up all the answers from each column
Year 5 – Music (Number Ostinati)
Learning objective:
To perform maintaining their own part with an awareness of how different parts fit together to achieve an overall effect.
Success criteria:
- Choose 2 numbers between 1 and 8
- Maintain the pulse by counting 1-8 repeatedly
- Play your instrument on your chosen numbers
- Repeat and don’t let others put you off!
Year 6 – PE (Speed Bounce)
Learning objective:
Develop speed, rhythm and coordination by doing the speed bounce.
Success criteria:
- Wear suitable footwear
- Know that the speed bounce is a two footed jump
- Take off and land simultaneously
- Cross the wedge as many times as possible in a given time.
