Black History Month:
Friars Primary Foundation School is a warm and welcoming place for everyone. We believe it always will be. Our commitment to standing against prejudice and injustice is profound and unwavering. We will tackle racism and any other form of discrimination robustly and quickly.
Our values of compassion, respect and responsibility mean you are welcome here regardless of race, sexuality, gender, religion or anything else which makes you, you.
We are proud of our curriculum which enables children to learn about diversity, inclusion and anti racism throughout the year in every subject but we also feel it is important to mark Black History Month as well.
In 2021 we focused on the achievements of Black British Women from many different backgrounds. Each class learned about one significant figure.
